holiday. The hotel is located at about 50 meters from the beach.

Grifid Hotel
Arabella offers accommodation in 252 double rooms, 14 junior suites, 24
one-bedroom apartments and 2 two-bedroom apartments. All rooms and
apartments overlook the sea. Elegantly and tastefully appointed, they

five superb restaurants, which will satisfy every taste and preference.
Restaurant Arabella is the main restaurant of the four-star hotel in
Golden Sands, where are served buffet breakfast (7-10 AM), buffet lunch
(12-15 PM) and buffet dinner (18-21.30 PM) as part of the ultra all
inclusive program. Restaurant Arabella has 250 seats in its main hall
and 90 seats in its summer terrace.
There is a second restaurant
for continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack also served on a
buffet as part of the ultra all inclusive program. The snack restaurant
is located outside the main hotel building on a sunny summer terrace
with 100 seats next to the pool zone. The continental breakfast is
offered from 10 do 12 AM. Lunch is provided from 12 to 15 AM and the
afternoon snack - from 15 to 17 AM.
Grifid Hotel Arabella offers a
Bulgarian a-la-carte restaurant with business hours from 19 to 21.30
AM. This restaurant is also located outside in a separate building near
the pool zone. Its themed interior recreates the cosiness and
colorfulness of an old Bulgarian home. Here every connoisseur of the
traditional Bulgarian cuisine will enjoy skilfully prepared specialties
in an old style atmosphere. Its capacity is 56 seats.
There is
also an Asian a-la-carte restaurant available at Grifid Hotel Arabella
with a modern individual-style interior and comfortable furnishing. Its
business hours are from 19 do 21.30 PM. The restaurant offers an
excellent selection of Asian specialties and first-class service. Its
capacity is 60 seats.
The Italian a-la-carte restaurant Prego of
Grifid Hotel Arabella will appeal to those who prefer the sophisticated
and romantic ambiance. Stylish, decorated in white main hall and a
romantic summer terrace overlooking the pool will welcome the
connoisseurs of Italian cuisine. The restaurant's business hours are
from 19 to 21.30 PM and its capacity is 60 seats in the main hall and 28
seats at the terrace.
The lobby bar of he four-star hotel in
Golden Sands has a cosy, elegant and spacious salon with 140 seats and
an adjoining summer terrace with 70 seats. As a part of the ultra all
inclusive program the lobby bar offers international and Bulgarian
brands of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, drought beer,
country wine.
Grifid Hotel Arabella features one exceptionally
stylish and roomy night bar with 180 seats in its main salon and
business hours from 20 PM to 2 AM. Similar to the lobby bar, as a part
of the ultra all inclusive program it offers international and Bulgarian
brands of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, coffee and tea,
cocktails, drought beer, country wine. After 23 PM the bar turns into a
disco club.
For the business guests of the hotel is provided one
modernly equipped conference hall with 60 seats, suitable for hosting
workshops, business meetings, presentations, seminars, etc. The hall is
provided with the necessary audio-visual equipment, flip chart and
everything else needed for the successful hosting of any event. The team
of the hotel in Golden sands may organize coffee breaks.
For the
complete relaxation of its guests Grifid Hotel Arabella offers a modern
wellness and spa center with a hamam, steam bath, sauna,
hydro-massaging bath, relax zone, spa boutique with cosmetics, beautify

Grifid Hotel Arabella provides a
huge choice of opportunities for sports and recreation. There is an
air-conditioned gym (free for the hotel guests), billiards, aero hockey,

are two outdoor swimming pool available at the hotel with a total size
of 500 sq.m. and depth from 90 to 150 sm. The large pool has an
integrated whirlpool tub and a section for children. Chaise-lounges,
parasols and life guard are provided. The business hours are from 8 AM
to 17 PM. The hotel also offers an indoor heated swimming pool, 22 m
long and 9 m wide. Its business hours are from 9 AM to 18 PM.
As a
part of the ultra all inclusive program the hotel offers an outdoor
playground for basketball and volleyball, a lit tennis court, football
playground, gymnastics and anti-stress gymnastics, aerobics, tae-bo,
water fitness, darts, table tennis, water polo, bike tours, shooting
with a pistol and an air rifle, film club, dance lessons, karaoke, gym.
There are entertaining show programs every night, a disco as well as a
mini club with animators for children from 4 to 12 years of age. The
business hours of the kids club are from 10 to 12.30 and from 15 to
17.30.
Grifid Hotel Arabella in Golden Sands is an excellent
choice for holidays of families with children. Besides a lovely
children's club with animators, the hotel offers a spacious animation
hall, children's pool, a disco for kids, children's show once every two
weeks, baby cots, high chairs in the restaurants, warming up of
children's foot at the restaurants (upon prior notice). Part of the
services for children are paid such tennis lessons, baby sitter, baby

Golden Sands – Modern resort with 50 years of history

Golden Sands – Only 18km away from Varna – The city of the oldest golden
treasure in the world .
As an old legend says: pirates digged in huge golden treasure in the seaside
north from Varna. The land took revenge on the bandits and transformed the gold
into wonderful sand.
The resort is a popular tourist destination, drawing many visitors from Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Scandinavia, France, Central
and Eastern Europe,
the Persian Gulf, Israel,
and other countries, attracted by the favorable climate, scenic landscape, and
reasonable prices. And it is also the winner of a "Blue Flag" - a
prestigious international award for environmentally clean resorts. The major
microbiological, physical and chemical readings of the atmosphere, sea and sand
are monitored monthly. Within the resort, several types of transportation are
at the disposal of the guests - velorikshaws, bicycles, mini-trains, and
solar-battery powered taxies.
Resort development
started in 1957 and in about two decades, the place was transformed into a
modern holiday complex with numerous hotels (many open year-round), villas,
apartment buildings, spa centers, restaurants, clubs, casinos, attractions,
shopping centers, and sports facilities, including a yacht marina, a horse
riding school, and the Aquapolis water park. Golden Sands was privatized
in the 1990s and attracted considerable investment through the 2000s. Designed
initially for 13,000 hotel beds, it had over 30,000 beds reported in 2007; according to Varna Tourist Chamber sources, the
actual number was significantly higher , by some unverified critical estimates
even approaching 90,000. Currently, most hotels offer all inclusive vacations
but there are also concerted efforts to reposition the resort as a high-end
destination.
The beach strip in the
resort is 3,5 km long, up to 100m in places, and is known as one of the best
sand beaches in Europe. It is flat, covered with fine golden sand. The sandy
sea bottom gently slopes into the sea, there are no rocks or sudden drops.
The clean and calm
waters of the sea with low salinity lower than that of the Mediterranean for
example, and the absence of fish and animals dangerous to human health, are
ideal for scuba diving and vacationing with children. The cultural and
information center in the complex offers a rich and versatile concert program,
folk music performances and shows in the open. It organizes exhibitions of
Bulgarian artists, courses in the Bulgarian language, folk songs and dances,
vanguard fashion shows. You can take part in beauty contests, beer festivals, a
parade of retro cars, to mention but a few. You can enjoy the performances at
the International Varna Summer Festival of opera, ballet, theater and jazz
music, folklore and others.
There are also many disco clubs, bars and restaurants which will provide you
with lots of fun and unforgettable nights. Besides the entertainment and
