Description

Primosko is a town and resort in southeastern Bulgaria. It is situated on a small peninsula on the sea shore of Black Sea in the foot of Strandzha mountain tops. Becouse of its geographical destination, between two latitudes, on the border between humid continental climate and Mediterranean climate, Primorsko is Bulgaria’s most northern town where citrus fruits are growing.


The history of the town begins thousands of years ago. Plural evidences of Thracian settlement on these lands can be found everyday. The whole sea coast around the town is covered ruins of ancient, great cities. On the hill that brings the name of “Vulchanovo kale”, are ruins of the most prolonged settlement in the region - Ranuli. It is believed that this is one of the biggest fortresses in Bulgaria. In 2003rd the long searched sanctuary of the town was found. It is located on 2-3 kilometers distance from the fortress and it’s almost untouched by the time sanctuary-observatory, built of huge partly processed stone pieces, ordered in irregular circles so that in particular days of the year the sunlight can get through the space between them. The dating of the building is from 14th c. b.c. and it is believed that it was used till 5th c.


During the last years the tourism in the town is developing especially fast. Precondition for that is of course the convenient geographical destination between mountain and sea. The infrastructure of the town is well organized with regular transport to the close resorts and restaurants and clubs of any kind. The hotels are getting more and more every single day. Every single new hotel is offering to its guests extras as sauna, massage, outdoor pool and the extra that is getting rarer and rarer in Bulgarian sea coastal resorts- parking lot. Primorsko is preferred for holidays mostly from Bulgarian tourists, because of the calmness that it gives to its visitors, but the town doesn’t forget the other type of tourists that are coming here, so it offers attraction such as: water skiing, water slides, surf, scooters, water jets, fishing, yacht picnic and also beach volley and tennis.

 

The nature lovers can also enjoy the well known, splendid preserved area of “Ropotamo” that is located at 5km distance and it’s rich on animal and vegetal variety. The low prices of the resort aren’t affecting the service. The food and the service are quite nice and the hotels are with main categories of two, three and four stars.

BEACHES

The North beach of the town of Primorsko, which is one of the most picturesque beaches along the Bulgarian Black sea coast. Its length lounges and small tables, showers, photo services, rehabilitation activities, etc. There is also a volleyball playground and fitness spot as well as an inflatable slide for children; water sports are also offered – water-skiing, surfing, boat cruises, scooters, and “banana”. There are catering establishments and cocktail bars along the whole beach, where you can refresh yourself with an exotic cocktail or a cold drink. There are also bathing boxes and showers, toilets as well as health centers..

The Central beach is natural extension of the North beach. “Bul Prim Group” company is concessionaire of the beach and bears responsibility for maintenance of the beach, observance of the safety of the tourists and for making their stay more enjoyable.



The unique combination between mountain and sea climate and the small territory of the town are giving the perfect conditions for one splendid family and breezy summer holiday.
